Explorers’ Words are short videos about the success of French entrepreneurs abroad. They explain how they manage to reach other countries. Today’s guest is Benjamin Saada, co-founder, and chairman of Expliseat.
Since 2011, this SME has developed ultralight aircraft seats to make planes lighter and therefore reduce their fuel consumption. Their products are called TiSeats: they’re made of recycled carbon and are resistant to impacts damage. Since the firm’s creation, TiSeats have been able to reduce CO2 annual emissions in aviation by 1 to 5% thanks to lighter seats.
Expliseat’s technology is quite innovative. As a result, airlines from all over the world are buying their TiSeats, but more particularly in Asia and in North America. They have partnered with Boeing in 2020, for example.
